“It’s my rule never to lose me temper till it would be detrimental to keep it” ~ Sean O’Casey
Hmm.. what if one (like me) who seems to think it is detrimental to keep it ALL the time? Does it mean that I lose it then?

My job is to talk; your job is to listen. If you finish first, please let me know.” – Harry Herschfield
I thought Harry H quote above is hilarious. Which brought me to this thought.. if i apply this to the people I am currently working with, will i get a response in 2 seconds?
Misunderstood. That’s what you get when some things are left unspoken. And that’s the difficult truth. We tend to assume that things that are unspoken of are therefore non-existent. Most do not realized that sometimes people choose to keep quiet because they rather not waste their breath or effort.
Past – unspoken because it is sometimes best left unspoken
Present – unspoken because it is best use for self reflection
Future – unspoken because no one can predict the future
unspoken but it is there
I think ‘second hand’ goods (of any kind) is too under rated. I mean other than just the ‘buyer’ being cheap (although I rather call it frugal) , it is also doing the earth a big big favor. We shouldn’t be thinking of ‘saving’ the earth by just saving electricity or water or using less paper/plastic bags… we should be thinking what we shouldn’t waste & what we consume. The more we demand for brand new consumables.. it means more resources needed.
Ever wonder why we need to buy brand new furniture or bags or even clothes when there are perfectly usable (almost like new) second-hands available for sale (at like 70% of the new item price) ? Yes.. I wonder why. Is it because it makes one looks cheap or that it makes one feels like they are poor or cash trapped? Of course I must admit, the first reason for anybody who want to go check out a 2nd hand, would be because they are looking for a bargain. Cash is better left to earn interest.
Next under rated item – spare tyre. This ‘spare tyre’call (best pronounce as “spare Ta-Yar” to get the desired effect) . Most hate to be treated like a spare ‘tyre’ .. cause it felt like being 2nd best. But then when I think about it, an actual spare tyre has the best life.. it just get kept nice & clean in the boot of car, while the other 4 tyres got to go through pot holes, withstand the hot tar roads, then through the muddy water & even get peed at by doggies. The spare tyre is only taken out to be used when one of the 4 tyre got punctured & of course the user usually quickly have the spare tyre put back to its original place once the punctured one got repaired. Let’s not forget that the main tyres also got replaced with NEW ones after its end of use.. but a spare tyre hardly get replace that soon! And a spare tyre is not even cheaper!! So.. I wonder who came up with using ‘spare tyre’ as 2nd best ? I mean the spare tyre got it good isn’t it?
There are too many that are over rated (like the word ‘matured’ to describe someone cause seriously what does ‘being’ matured actually does?) and much is also under rated.
But then again – 2nd hands are getting more popular. I guess the world is changing afterall.
