nothing & everything

“Plans are nothing; planning is everything” -Dwight D. Eisenhower

To my ex-planner-colleagues :- I think the company got their priority wrong sometimes. Even the great Eisenhower knows planning is everything… don’t you agree?

what’s happiness

Happiness is man’s greatest aim in life. Tranquility and rationality are the cornerstones of happiness.

– Epicurus (famous Greek philosopher 341 BCE, Samos – 270 BCE, Athens)

Someone said I seem happy & I can only answer that my life is nothing short of ordinary & plain. But maybe Epicurus is right, tranquility is the cornerstones of happiness… so I guess being tranquil & rational in my way of life is really the cornerstones of happiness

not now …

How soon ‘not now‘ becomes ‘never’. Martin Luther quotes

Yes.. ‘not now’ has been on my mind for the past 2 days on just 1 specific task. Yes I dread doing this difficult task with such low return yet it is needed. Even making this blog entry is a form of ‘not now’ cause it gives me an excuse to do something else. But it is kind of scary when I read this quote.. ‘not now’ can turn into ‘never’ really quick….brrrr…

"We often add to our pain and suffering by being overly sensitive, over-reacting to minor things, and sometimes taking things too personally"

~ Tenzin Gyatso, The 4th Dalai Lama quotes (Dalai Lama, b. 1935)

I keep hearing this word being used to describe someone & I kind of agree with that description. If only I could share with him this great quote. No one is suffering with your sensitivity, only you are. It only serve as an amusing account for us to laugh about.
